Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) Named in Three 2025 Gartner® Reports

Inclusion Recognizes DCS’ Position in Warehouse Automation & Orchestration
At Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS), our mission is to deliver purpose-built material handling and warehouse automation solutions that empower operations to keep their promises to their customers, stakeholders, and communities.
Today, we are proud to announce that Gartner has recognized DCS in three research publications in the supply chain execution, logistics technologies, and warehouse automation space. We feel these recognitions support our direction, validate our investments, and energize our entire team to continue innovating for our customers.
Below are the three Gartner acknowledgements, what we think they mean, and what they mean for DCS’ clients and partners.
Gartner Recognitions
- A Representative Provider in Innovation Insight: Multiagent Orchestration Platforms (June 2025)
In this report, Gartner introduces “Multiagent orchestration (MAO) platforms act as intelligent middleware that integrates and orchestrates work between various business applications, heterogeneous fleets of operational robots and other automated agents (such as doors or elevators). These solutions take on tasks from connected systems or human instruction, then orchestrate and assign work, and monitor and coordinate the activities of diverse fleets of robots and other systems.” - A Representative Vendor in the 2025 Market Guide for Warehouse Automation Partners (December 2024)
Gartner defines the warehouse automation partners market as, “boutique consultants, systems integrators (SIs) and material handling companies that help organizations evaluate and select the most appropriate warehouse automation solution for their application. The selection criteria are based on throughput requirements, order and product attributes, ROI, company goals, operational complexity and budgetary constraints.” - A Sample Vendor for WES and WCS in Hype Cycle™ for Supply Chain Execution and Logistics Technologies, 2025 (July 2025)
Warehouse execution systems (WES) are one of the crucial software classes in modern fulfillment and distribution operations, especially where high throughput, automation, or robotics are involved. In the same report, DCS was also named a Sample Vendor for warehouse control systems (WCS), another foundational software layer that handles real-time execution, equipment coordination, safety, and control logic.
What Gartner’s Recognition Means for DCS’ Customers and Partners
In our view, these recognitions aren’t just accolades. We believe they reflect how DCS’ capabilities and commitments translate into real customer value:
- Independent, Unbiased Guidance: Through Waller Consulting, a DCS subsidiary, operations benefit from data-driven insights that optimize automated warehouse operations with recommendations tailored to both immediate needs and long-term goals.
- Holistic Automation & Orchestration Expertise (MAO, WES, WCS): Seamless integration of people, equipment, robotics, and software—so operations avoid system islands or misaligned workflows.
- Strong Systems Integration & Design Services: DCS is a true partner that doesn’t just supply hardware, but works deeply with each customer on layout, workflow, control strategy, user experience, software, and future scalability.
- Maturing Product Portfolio: Every DCS design incorporates reliable, well-engineered, brand-agnostic, and proven warehouse automation solutions. That reduces risk, improves time to deployment, and lowers total cost of ownership.
- Forward Looking & Innovation-Oriented: As automation, robotics, machine-learning, AI, and orchestration become more standard, DCS is already there. This enables customers to stay ahead of supply chain disruption, volume surges, labor constraints, and buyer demands.
DCS’ Commitment Going Forward
Here’s where DCS is focusing next:
- Deeper investment in orchestration and control software to tighten integration, improve visibility, and reduce latency in operations.
- Expanding modular, scalable solutions so that operations large and small can benefit—not just greenfield sites but retrofit, expansion, or partial automation cases.
- Enhancing data and analytics capabilities so all systems—conveyors, sorters, robot fleets, picking zones—operate with better predictive planning and adaptive response.
- Maintaining our brand-agnostic stance for parts and technologies so customers can choose what fits best, and update/upgrade without lock-in.
Conclusion
The entire DCS team is honored by Gartner’s recognition in these reports. They underscore that DCS’s vision, engineering, and execution are aligned with what supply chain leaders need right now, and what they will need tomorrow.
To DCS’ customers and partners: thank you for your trust. For those considering warehouse automation or seeking a partner in the rapidly evolving supply chain sector, we welcome the chance to discuss your specific challenges. Connect with us.
