Designed Conveyor Systems Recognized in the 2026 Gartner® Market Guide Report, Along with Mention Across Two Gartner Reports

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Franklin, Tenn. – May 26, 2026 – Material handling systems integrator Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) today announced it has been named a Representative Vendor in the 2026 Gartner® Market Guide for Warehouse Automation Consultants and System Integrators. In our view, this latest recognition underscores DCS’ growing role as a trusted partner for organizations navigating increasingly complex warehouse automation decisions.
“We feel this inclusion validates our approach to combining consulting, design, systems integration, and software expertise to help customers make smarter, more confident investments in automation,” said Matt Ferguson, DCS President.
In addition to this recognition, DCS has also been listed in two other Gartner reports. We believe this reinforces the company’s position across the warehouse automation and orchestration landscape.
Recognition of DCS by Gartner
In the Market Guide for Warehouse Automation Consultants and System Integrators (April 2026), Gartner highlights that “This research provides in-depth detail of the capabilities, strengths, and strategic value of these consultants and system integrators in the warehouse automation landscape.”
As operations face growing complexity—from robotics integration to scalability challenges—we think DCS’ inclusion reflects its ability to guide customers from concept through execution.
DCS has also been recognized in the following Gartner reports, which are accessible to Gartner clients only:
- Innovation Insight: Multiagent Orchestration Platforms (June 27, 2025) named DCS as a Representative Provider. The report describes multiagent orchestration platforms as intelligent middleware that integrates and orchestrates work between various business applications, heterogeneous fleets of operational robots and other automated agents (such as doors or elevators).
- Market Guide for Warehouse Automation Partners (December 2, 2024) named DCS a Representative Vendor. As noted by Gartner, “When automating warehouse operations, companies have three partner options: boutique consultants, systems integrators and material handling companies. This research will help supply chain leaders better understand the warehouse automation market, thus informing future partner selection.”
Delivering Measurable Value to Customers
DCS believes these recognitions reflect its ability to deliver measurable value across consulting, design, and execution:
- Independent, Unbiased Guidance: Through Waller Consulting, a DCS company, customers gain data-driven insights and recommendations aligned to both immediate needs and long-term goals.
- Holistic Automation & Orchestration Expertise: Integration of people, equipment, robotics, and software helps eliminate system silos and improve operational performance.
- End-to-End Systems Integration: DCS partners closely with customers on layout, workflow, control strategy, and scalability—not just equipment selection.
- Proven, Brand-Agnostic Solutions: Reliable, well-engineered technologies reduce risk, accelerate deployment, and lower total cost of ownership.
- Innovation-Focused Approach: DCS enables customers to stay ahead of supply chain disruption, labor constraints, and evolving demand patterns.
Continued Investment in the Future of Automation
“DCS is thrilled to be recognized in the latest Gartner Market Guide and to see this acknowledgment join three additional Gartner reports across consulting, orchestration, and execution technologies,” Ferguson said. “Together, in our view these recognitions reinforce that DCS’ approach aligns with what supply chain leaders need today—and what they will need tomorrow.”
DCS is aggressively investing in capabilities that support the next generation of supply chain operations, with a strong focus on software, scalability, and data, he continued.
“We’re continuing to invest in orchestration and control software to improve integration, visibility, and overall system performance. Our goal is to help customers connect every part of their operation—from equipment to software to people—in a more seamless way,” Ferguson continued.
The company is also expanding its modular, scalable solutions to support a wide range of project types, from greenfield facilities to complex retrofits. This approach recognizes that not every operation is starting from scratch, he said. “Instead, we’re building solutions that allow customers to modernize and scale at their own pace.”
Data and analytics remain another key priority for DCS, enabling customers to achieve more predictive and adaptive operations. The company is focused on giving customers better insight into their systems so they can plan ahead and respond faster as conditions change.
Further, Ferguson emphasized that DCS continues to emphasize brand-agnostic system designs, ensuring flexibility for customers as technologies evolve. “That flexibility is critical. It allows our customers to choose what works best today while keeping their options open for the future.”
